ECO Home Chicago - Your Green Guide to Better Living

Phase II Consultation:
Considering renovation or expansion? Building a new home?

The Phase II Consultation offered by EcoHome Chicago provides an in depth analysis of your home and its systems. Our consultants will take an extensive look at the possibilities for greening your home, bringing you closer to sustainability and a reduced carbon footprint. Our technicians will look at the following home systems for opportunities to 'Sustain your Domain':

- Windows and Doors
- Insulation
- Heating and Cooling Systems
- The Roof and Exterior of the House
- Plumbing and Electrical Systems
- The Home Site Layout and Irrigation

The Process: First, EcoHome Chicago will do an in depth analysis of your home in its existing state, looking for any opportunities for energy use reduction and sustainable alternatives. This first step is done on a home inspection that takes a few hours (time varies based on the size of the home).

Once the inspection is complete, the EcoHome Chicago team will go to work on your home uncovering viable solutions for the greening your home. These solutions could vary greatly and are customized for each client.  For example, your home layout might provide a perfect area on the roof for a small tubular sky light that brings natural light in the home and reduces the need for electric lights. Perhaps the roof layout allows for installing a "Green Roof" that helps insulate the home while at the same time helping the environment.

After the inspection and Analysis, EcoHome Chicago offers two options for Clients:

Empowerment: The first option is Empowering Clients to Go Green. We will provide a list of approved, environmentally conscious vendors that can do the work for you.

Project Management: The second option is to continue with EcoHome Chicago as your Guide to Green. We would be happy to manage the process of going green for you and make sure the sustainable solutions you choose are implemented correctly to maximize their effectiveness.
