Phase I Consulting - Evaluation and Audits

Not planning on a major renovation, but need some help going green or weatherizing? The EcoHome Evaluation walk through is the place to start.  This in-person, thorough analysis of your home will provide straight forward, logical steps you can take to begin saving money on your utility bills, enjoying cleaner air, and reducing your carbon footprint.

The Evaluation will use certified USGBC and ASID Re-Green methods, including:

• Insulation and Air Sealing/Venting Review

• Fixtures and Appliances Audit

• Mechanical Systems Assessment

• Site and Landscaping Review

Findings from the in-home walk-through are used to prepare a customized report, tailored to your home, outlining recommended steps and products you should consider to improve the efficiency, comfort and cost of maintaining your home.

If you are considering replacing HVAC units or windows or roofs, and are not sure where to begin, the EcoHome Energy Audit is the solution.  This technical, diagnostic evaluation of your home's mechanical and ventilation systems will guide you in prioritizing projects, minimizing costs and maximizing savings and tax incentives.

Phase II Consulting - Implementation

If you are embarking on a major renovation or new construction project, EcoHome Consulting can guide you through it.  From the preliminary planning to the details of product selection and the oversight of implementation, desiging and building a sustainable, beautiful home can be achieved with Ecohome Chicago's help.  We can tailor our involvement to suit your needs - from plan review or specification writing to assisting with full LEED, Chicago Green Homes Program or Energy Star certification.

Design Services, Specification Writing and Product Recommendations
